Full description

Spend two days in Serengeti National Park on an amazing adventure. Embark on game drives, spot the “Big Five,” and enjoy optional activities like a hot air balloon ride or a walking safari.

Day 1: Wildlife Safari and Game Drives
Arrive at Serengeti National Park. Depending on your arrival point, either fly into the Seronera Airstrip or drive into the park. After checking in at your camp/lodge, embark on your first game drive. Serengeti is home to the “Big Five” (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses), along with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and countless bird species.

Stop for breakfast or a picnic. Many tours offer a breakfast break while spotting wildlife. You might see animals early in the morning when they are most active. Enjoy a traditional safari lunch with stunning views of the savannah.

Continue exploring the park. If you’re visiting during the migration season (roughly June to October), you might witness wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River. As the sun sets, animals begin to display different behaviors. This is one of the best times for photography, with the golden glow casting across the vast plains.

Head back to your lodge or camp for a hearty meal and rest for the night.

Day 2: Explore More Wildlife & Optional Activities
The Serengeti offers excellent early morning wildlife sightings, with lions, leopards, and cheetahs often hunting. The cooler weather means animals are more active during this time. Some tours offer bush breakfasts, where you can eat in the middle of the Serengeti, with the sound of wildlife in the background.

If you’re interested in learning more about the area, you can visit local Maasai villages or historical sites, such as the Serengeti Visitor Centre, where you can learn about the park’s biodiversity and the Great Migration. After a few hours of exploration, have lunch back at the lodge or a picnic with a great view.

Opt for a hot air balloon ride at dawn or a walking safari with a guide. Hot air balloon rides give you an aerial view of the Serengeti and an opportunity to spot wildlife from above. Wrap up with one last game drive before heading out, ensuring you get to enjoy as much wildlife as possible.See more
